The Significance of Networking

If you plan on building an online business, then one activity, which can have an effect be it positive or adverse is networking. Networking in business is a socioeconomic activity by which groups of like-minded people create, recognize or act upon business opportunities.

Networking properly within your niche can result in many benefits. Advertising cost for generating new business will be kept low. Imagine having a network of 50 affiliates with each possessing a list size of 10,000 subscribers. That’s 500,000 potential prospects. Now if you had a $47 dollar product to sell and you were aiming for a modest 2,000 units to sell, do you think you could achieve this with your affiliate network? Not to consider your personal customer base. I’m sure you’ve worked out the total sales made and you are getting the bigger picture with what is achievable with a good network base.

Lets imagine you didn’t have any affiliates on board, but you know where these affiliates hang out. How hard do you think it would be to get them to promote your product? Without building a relationship first with these people, I’m sure we both have to concede that getting them to promote will be very difficult. Hence leaving you with no alternative but to turn to paid advertising. Therefore cost’s would be high.

Another benefit is thanks to the internet networking in this day and age is a low-cost activity. Facebook is the number one social networking site in the world. This is where I started building my network of JV’s and business relationships. Facebook is a free web platform that allows you to connect with people all over the world. Also the most important part of networking is collecting contact details. However, Facebook automates everything; so all you have to do is concentrate on building your friends list.

The strategy I used to get these top affiliates to accept my friend request involves seeking out their friends and become friends with them. Now I know this sounds a little strange and not really different to what I suggested you do earlier. However this actually works. If you can be friends with 20 people or more importantly 20 top internet marketing related friends of theirs then they will find it hard to resist your friend-request. It is much easier for anyone on Facebook to accept your friend request especially when you have 20 or more mutual friends between each other.

About me At secondary school I was so much in love with sports. I played football and was concentrating on a career in the sport. I left with 7 GCSE’s qualifications. I then did two years at sixth form and acquired 2 A-level qualifications. I then went to University but in my second year dropped out. I wasn’t satisfied with the degree and what I was learning from it. So I decided to venture into the REAL WORLD. In 2008 I managed to set up an eBay business. This was doing well until the market became saturated and competition was high. I then began looking for other ways online to make money. Fast forward to 2010 I made my first sale online through affiliate marketing. Since then I have been busy creating my own system, which I’m planning to release soon on Clickbank as an information product in the near future. Manie Amari
